The ENGWE MapFour N1 Air carbon frame weighs only 1.28 kg (2.8 lb) and is constructed around a single piece of moulded carbon fibre frame with low-step or step-over choices. When the robust aluminium fork is included, the overall weight, including all other components, is 15.6 kg (34.4 lb).
The 250W Mivice rear-hub motor can pedal assist up to 25 km/h (15.5 mph) and delivers 42 Nm to tackle slopes up to 10 degrees. In place of cadence sensors, a torque sensor is installed in the bottom bracket to increase the motor’s reaction. Additionally, bikers have greater pedalling versatility with a Shimano Tourney 7-speed gearset.
At the lowest assist level, the 36V 10Ah Samsung Li-ion battery that powers the commuter can travel up to 100 km (62 miles) between charges. It takes five to eight hours to recharge.
